For the Hansestadt Lübeck, digital sovereignity of citizens is a strategic goal and part of its Digital Strategy as it enables the City's development towards a Smart City. Additionaly, the City of Lübeck intends to implement lessons learned in digital service offerings.
Increasing digitization and continuous data collection (e.g., in social networks or when using smart phones) require citizens to handle their data with confidence. However, this handling often takes place without reflection. The joint project DigS-Gov promotes digital sovereignty through human-centered information and interaction offerings in contacts with public administrations.
The Hansestadt Lübeck is part of DigS-Gov, one of the 10 funded projects of the research program "Human-Technology Interaction for Digital Sovereignty".
